To be eligible for a leadership position, an alumnus/alumna must have graduated from Genius IT Brainery.
Candidates should demonstrate a strong commitment to the alumni community and its objectives.
Relevant experience in leadership, networking, or community engagement is valuable.
Candidates must uphold ethical standards and the reputation of the institution.
Effective communication and collaboration are essential.
- Nomination: Alumni can self-nominate or be nominated by peers. Nominations typically occur during a specified period.
- Application: Candidates submit their applications, including a brief bio, vision statement, and proposed contributions.
- Campaigning: Candidates may campaign by sharing their goals and engaging with fellow alumni.
- Voting: Active alumni vote for their preferred candidates. Voting can be online or during a physical meeting.
- Results and Announcement: The candidate(s) with the highest votes assume leadership roles.
- Transition: Outgoing leaders facilitate a smooth transition by sharing responsibilities and knowledge. For the first batch of leadership for the alumni, the President of the institution shall induct them into office to start the process.
- President/Chairperson: Provides overall direction, leads meetings, and represents the alumni externally.
- Vice President: Assists the president and steps in when needed.
- Secretary: Manages records, communications, and official documents.
- Treasurer: Oversees financial matters and fundraising initiatives.
- Organizer: Works closely with the administration to organize events and activities, coordinates with the network to build strong relationships with members, and finds creative ways to encourage maximum participation in alumni activities.
- Committee Members: Responsible for specific tasks (e.g., events, communications, mentorship).
Leadership terms are 2 years, with the possibility of re-election.
