What started as a short course at Genius IT Brainery (GITB) before pursuing tertiary education turned into a defining chapter in Priscilla Abra Horlu’s life. A proud alumna of the 2019 cohort, Priscilla is a trained Biological Scientist and Laboratory Technician whose journey blends science, leadership, and community impact.
At GITB, Priscilla didn’t just acquire skills; she found a family. Within the Brainery’s nurturing environment, she discovered her passion for service, leadership, and collaboration. To this day, she remains an active supporter, returning to volunteer her time and expertise whenever called upon.
Educational Journey
During her studies at GITB, Priscilla excelled in the Youth Development Program, where she honed her leadership, entrepreneurship, and digital skills. Her experience went beyond academics; it ignited a deep sense of purpose and social responsibility.
She often recalls a quote shared by the CEO that became her personal mantra:
“One of the worst punishments to give a man is to isolate him from other humans. We are social beings, and living together is what we are made for.”
This lesson on connection and collaboration continues to shape her approach to teamwork, mentorship, and service.
Career Highlights
Today, Priscilla serves as a Biological Scientist and Laboratory Technician, while also working as an Agronomic Consultant and Administrative Personnel. Her diverse career path is a testament to her adaptability and the strong foundation she built through digital and leadership training at GITB.
